REACH OUT WITH JAZZ

Get your blues and jazz groove on as you help out the homeless during the 13th-annual Jazz Outreach, this year at the Beaumont Club (4050 Pennsylvania). Running from 3 to 9 p.m., the concert features the lively sounds of the Jazz Disciples, Jim Mair, Ronnie Reed & Millennium, Greg Carroll, Everette DeVan, Leon Brady and the Kansas City Youth Jazz, the Wild Women of Kansas City and more. A portion of the event’s proceeds benefit Swope Health Services’ Health Care for the Homeless Program, which provides medical and mental-health services, addiction treatment and social rehabilitation for KC’s homeless citizens. General-admission tickets cost $25; VIP tickets ($50) include preferred seating and a barbecue buffet. Also available: cash bar and good eats for sale.
