Rashod James accused of killing community activist Delia Young

Rashod James allegedly led police on a chase in the cadillac of homicide victim Fannie

Delia Young after being involved in a hit-and-run accident on October 24, 2010. The 19-year-old allegedly led police on a foot chase before he was arrested.

Young’s car was impounded in a city tow lot. Her ATM card was found in

the car’s center console. On the afternoon of November 1, 2010, the body of 67-year-old Young was found in her home at 12th and Michigan after a maintenance worker

noticed that her mail had been stacking up for several days. The Jackson County Medical Examiner later ruled her death a homicide from blunt force trauma to the head and multiple stab wounds. She’d been dead about 11 or 12 days.
