Rape reported on Trolley Trail Thursday morning

Kansas City police are investigating a rape reported by a woman on the Trolley Trail this morning. A woman in her 50s who was walking on the trail reported being attacked by a white man wearing all black clothing, KMBC reported.

The attack occurred around 5:45 a.m. near East 85th Street and Main, and police have reportedly closed the trail to preserve the crime scene and search for the alleged attacker. Not much of a description has been given of the alleged attacker (he’s of average weight and height), though the man may have fled the scene in an older model white Mercury.
