Ra Ra Riot at the Granada

You’ll remember Ra Ra Riot as one of those sunny, giddy New York bands that scenesters lost their shit over circa 2007. Well, they’re back, and apparently the band’s new album is supposed to be “so poppy you will want to throw up on yourself.” The rock quintet — comprised of singer Wes Miles, bassist Mathieu Santos, guitarist Milo Bonacci, violinist Rebecca Zeller and cellist Alexandra Lawn — will kick off the new dates in support of the band’s sophomore album, The Orchard. It’s out on August 24, and it’s a follow-up to 2008’s The Rhumb Line. They’re at the Granada on October 9.
