QuikTrip has added kitchens to several area locations, and here is where they are

How much do we love QuikTrip? Let us count the ways:

*Those tiny Starbucks double-shot espresso cans that most other convenience stores don’t carry

QuikTrip is a beacon of convenience and quality wherever it sets down roots, and no, this is not a sponsored post. We just really like QuikTrip. We feel good there. We don’t want to think too hard about why that is.

Lately, you might have noticed construction at your local QuikTrip. It is the result of the company’s deeper expansion into the food market. QT Kitchens, as they are known, are starting to pop up inside QuikTrips across the Kansas City area. These basically consist of a new counter area where you punch in your order on a touch screen. Out comes a ticket, which you hold onto while the QT chef prepares your order. Then you take your food and your ticket to the regular counter and pay for it with whatever else you bought from the store.

Not to overhype it, but this is an incredible development. You can get soft pretzels, pizzas, breakfast sandwiches, flatbreads and ice cream all day long. Life is now one giant test to not eat delicious soft pretzels dipped in cheese sauce at QuikTrip every day. 

Eventually, all Quik Trips will have the QT Kitchen. Some are requiring more extensive remodeling than others. For now, the following locations are fully updated with the new kitchens. (We will update to include ones we’ve missed):

The QT at Southwest Boulevard and 31st Street.
The QT in Waldo, at Wornall and 73nd Street.
The QT at 44th and Main.
The QT where Truman Road meets Ewing Ave, just west of I-435.
The QT in Mission, at 4700 Lamar. 
The QT in Merriam, at 9025 Johnson Drive. 
The QT at State Line and 80th Street.
The QT at State Line and Carondelet Drive (near I-435).
The QT at 77th and Metcalf.
The QT at 26th and Burlington in NKC.
The QT at Armour Road and Knox in NKC.

The QT on Westport Road and Mercier is currently under construction and is expected to be completed soon.
