Pvt. Brian Anderson accused of lying about being shot while jogging on the Little Blue Trace Trail

Pvt. Brian Anderson claimed that he was robbed and shot while jogging on the Little Blue Trace Trail. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says the active-duty member of the U.S. Army lied.
Anderson, 25, admitted shooting himself and making up the story while he was on a four-day leave from Fort Riley. He was arrested and shipped back to Fort Riley where he’s now in the custody of the U.S. Army. He’s facing charges of filing a false police report for fabricating the August 8 incident.
