Prince’s Purple Rain shows this weekend at Tapcade; plus, Silversun Pickups, Del the Funky Homosapien, Fred Armisen and WWE SmackDown

Prince is dead. Long live Prince. The enigmatic and iconic singer died at age 57 last week, and while the doves haven’t stopped crying, it’s time to go crazy … at Tapcade (1701 McGee). Celebrate the life of His Purpleness with three screenings of Prince’s 1984 rock musical, Purple Rain, this weekend. The pop legend’s star vehicle shows at 8 p.m. Friday, April 29, and 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30. All of the proceeds go to the Midwest Music Foundation.
