Police in Independence arrest suspect in attempted home invasion of Iowa Congressman Leonard Boswell

A suspect in the attempted weekend home invasion and robbery of Iowa Congressman Leonard Boswell was arrested Tuesday in Independence.

Authorities arrested 20-year-old David Dewberry following a manhunt, according to All Headline News. He’s reportedly locked up on a federal warrant and awaiting extradition to Iowa where he’ll face felony burglary and assault charges for allegedly breaking into Boswell’s home wearing a ski mask and armed with a BB gun around 10:45 p.m. Saturday. Dewberry allegedly grabbed Boswell’s daughter, Cindy Brown, by the throat, pointed the realistic-looking gun at her head and demanded money. However, Leonard Bowell wasn’t about to take any shit.
