Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers fans last night at the Sprint Center witnessed a free flow of hits spanning the band’s 40-year career. From the first notes of ‘Rockin’ around with You’ through the extended, joyous closer ‘American Girl’ – an iconic classic rock song if there ever was one – the audience stood and sang, awash in absolute nostalgia. This was the band’s first stop in Kansas City in seven years, and this show makes us hope that it won’t be the last. [Setlist below the photo set.]
