Photos: U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team gets involved in local youth soccer scene ahead of New Zealand match

The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team is set to play New Zealand at CPKC Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 29. But, before the best soccer players around the nation take the field, they decided to get involved in the local youth soccer scene. Partnering with the KC Current, on Monday, Oct. 27, the team ventured out to Kansas City Girls Preparatory Academy for a day of fun with the students through an event they call the Soccer Forward Community Spotlight. The students at KCGPA got a chance to meet some of the stars and participate in different activities revolving around the sport and women’s hygiene during their Monday school day.
