Photos: Temwa Chawinga saves Current from dropping a match against Gotham FC

The Kansas City Current faced off against Gotham FC last Saturday, Sept. 28, resulting in a 1-1 draw between the two clubs. The Current dropped a goal early in minute 23 when Alana Cook scored an own goal—Don’t worry, it happens, even to the best. Just eight minutes into the second half, in minute 53, KC’s favorite soccer star, Temwa Chawinga, scored to knot the game. But that would be the only time the Current found the back of the net, as the match would wrap up as a draw after 90 minutes of play. The Current face off against Racing Louisville FC on the road this Saturday, Oct. 5.
