recordBar
Thursday, April 25
After about a 45 minute set from openers World’s First Cinema, the stage was quickly switched up for the main act of the evening, Taylor Acorn. Acorn put on an energetic performance to an incredibly full crowd at recordBar. Not afraid to interact with the crowd, she ended the evening by capturing on-stage footage with a fan’s phone and going over to greet one of her youngest fans of the evening.
Acorn’s opener, World’s First Cinema, quickly became one of my new favorite bands by the end of the evening. Their music has influences of alternative, electronic, and rock, and aims to “replicate the movie-going experience through their music.”
