The Kansas City Royals are currently in a four-game battle against the powerhouse New York Yankees. On Monday, June 10, the Royals fell short to the Yanks in a 4-2 loss, with the runs coming in the seventh and eighth innings from Dairon Blanco and Salvador Pérez, off of RBI’s from Bobby Witt Jr. and Freddy Fermín. The Bronx bombers got off to a hot start, scoring two runs in the first off of starter Seth Lugo. After game one’s loss, the Royals took an absolute beating on June 11, losing to New York 10-1. The team looks to bounce back tonight and tomorrow against the star-studded super team, hopefully able to even out the series at 2-2 come Thursday.
