Photos: Royals narrowly take down Red Sox on Friday night

The Kansas City Royals barely scraped away with a win on Friday, May 9 against the Boston Red Sox. After the game remained at a standing 0-0 for the first ten innings, the Red Sox scored one in the top of the eleventh, as the Royals answered in the bottom. Shortly afterwards in the 12th inning, Freddy Fermin hit a single in left-center to score the final run and give the Royals a 2-1 victory. The team faces Boston again this evening at 6:00 p.m.
