Photos: Royals lose series to Mariners as wildcard hopes begin to diminish

The Kansas City Royals took on the Seattle Mariners in a three-game series between Tuesday, Sept. 16 and Thursday, Sept. 18. The ‘Yals dropped games one and three, but were able to etch out one win against Seattle on Wednesday. With nine games left in the MLB regular season, the Royals wildcard chances are slim to none, back seven games from the final slot. The team faces off against the Toronto Blue Jays tonight at home.
