Photos: Mavs bounce back with dominating victory of Allen Americans at Cable Dahmer

After a tough loss on New Year’s Eve, the Kansas City Mavericks bounced back with a dominant 5-2 win over the Allen Americans on Friday, Jan. 3. Pucks were flying into the back of the net early, as the Mavs took a 1-0 lead off a goal from Damien Giroux, which was shortly cut down by the Americans about a minute later. The Mavericks regained the lead off a goal Casey Carreau from before heading into the second period. The lamp was lit quickly in the second as Cade Borchard scored a goal for the club. Allen would score first in the third, cutting the lead down to just one, but the Mavericks’ Cam Morrison and Jackson Berezowski would sink two more to skate away with a 5-2 victory.
