Photos: KC Mavs knock off Wichita Thunder at Cable Dahmer Saturday
The Kansas City Mavericks faced off against the Wichita Thunder on Saturday, March 30 for the teams’ third game of a three-game series. After winning the first and dropping the second, the Mavs secured the series win with a 4-1 victory. The match started off slow with a scoreless first period before David Cotton busted the game open, followed by another goal from Damien Giroux to give the Mavs a 2-0 lead. The Thunder would go on to score before heading into the third period, but Dalton Duhart and Nathan Dunkley wrapped up the night with a couple more goals in the third to give the team a 4-1 victory. The team is set to host the Rapid City Rush on Wednesday, April 2.
