Photos: KC Current trounce Houston Dash to extend record undefeated streak
The Current made NWSL history last night, taking down the Houston Dash 2-0. The result set a new league record with 17 consecutive matches unbeaten, a streak that began at the end of the 2023 season.
Forward Temwa Chawinga secured her third brace of the season, taking her to 11 goals and atop the Golden Boot race. The brace also means the forward claimed a new club record for goals in a single season. If that wasn’t enough, Chawinga also made history by scoring CPKC Stadium’s first river goal and sending a powerful shot into the Missouri River.

The team is back at CPKC Stadium on Saturday, July 6, for the matchup of the season as the currently unbeaten Orlando Pride head to CPKC Stadium in a top-of-the-table clash.
