The KC Current kicked off the season with a dominant 3-1 win over the Portland Thorns yesterday in front of another sold-out crowd at CPKC Stadium.

It took reigning NWSL MVP and Golden Boot winner, Temwa Chawinga, just four minutes to find the back of the net for her first goal of the season. Forward Michelle Cooper and Midfielder Debinha followed up with goals of their own to seal the win.
