Photos: KC Current rolls to an easy Summer Cup victory over Pachuca

After a dominant performance last night in the NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup, the Current remains unbeaten in Group C.

Three first-half goals secured a win against Pachuca, in the first-ever international match-up at CPKC Stadium.

Midfielder Debinha recorded a brace, starting with a powerful shot from the edge of the box that found the top of the net. She followed up with a volley off a clever cross from forward Kristen Hamilton before Hamilton got the Current’s third goal of the night, tapping home a low cross from forward Michelle Cooper to complete the scoring.

The team is back at CPKC Stadium this Thursday, August 1, for its final match in Group C. The Current takes on reigning Liga MX Femenil Champion, Tigres, in a 7 P.M. kickoff.
