Boulevardia’s second night on Saturday, June 15, was an absolute summer smash for Kansas City’s favorite combination block party meets music festival. As one photographer, there’s only so much one can cover but the entire lineup delivered a kaleidoscope of genres that kept the crowd buzzing with excitement from early afternoon into the evening. As the evening’s headliner, the eclectic Thundercat kicked things off with his funky bass lines and silky vocals.

The night peaked with Manhattan, Kansas’ favorite indie power pop trio, Ultimate Fakebook, whose electrifying performance had the audience begging for more, even as the sound engineer had to pull the plug to stop the crowd’s endless encore requests. It was a night of unforgettable music, making it the perfect way to spend a Saturday in Kansas City.
