Amos Lee is a treasured singer-songwriter of folk, rock, and soul music. His smooth, emotive voice and heartfelt lyrics captivate audiences with peppy, feel-good melodies. His songs have been featured in shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Parenthood, Modern Family, and many more. Amos Lee has toured extensively, sharing the stage with artists like Bob Dylan, Norah Jones, and Paul Simon. Stopping in Kansas City Tuesday night during his Transitions Tour, Amos Lee packed a full house of excited melomaniacs. The band was full of energy, bringing a mix of fan favorites and new songs. His storytelling and banter with the audience was as authentic and genuine as the meaningful lyrics he sang.
Mutlu Onaral is a Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter with soulful voice. Opening for Amos Lee, Mutlu sang blends of soul, R&B, and folk with funk and rock. Mutlu sang from the soul covering James Brown. His diverse and engaging music has been exemplified throughout his several albums and EPs. Even though he tours nationally, he will be back in Kansas City August 8 in the Gospel Lounge of Knuckleheads.
