People Say They Want a Revolution

Sashaying through broad swaths of history and culture, the Celebrate People’s History project, by artist cooperative Just Seeds, pays homage to revolutions and resistance movements with eclectic posters from all over the world. The individual images stun — see for yourself at Made up of more than 50 pieces collected by Just Seeds founder Josh MacPhee, the show presents a powerful global tour of social activism and human struggle. The collection is on exhibit at the Lawrence Percolator (913 Rhode Island in Lawrence), beginning with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. The show continues on weekends through February 6. A book version of Celebrate People’s History, featuring 45 more images printed exclusively for the volume, will be released as part of Lawrence’s Final Friday events, from 5 to 8 p.m. January 28.
