Patchchord Presents Troost Festival Video

Pitch contributor and erstwhile Patchchord man John Kreicbergs hit the Troost Avenue Festival last Saturday and posted this video on his blog. Go, John!

Apart from showing a neighborhood spring to life with good, wholesome vitality, it features live video footage of local reggae outfit Elisha Israel & AZ-One. I interviewed Elisha way back in 2005 and didn’t even know his band was still going, but apparently they are — and they’re sounding way better than they did two, three years ago. The video also afforded me my first glimpse of Washboard Jo.
