• The Brick (1727 McGee, 816-421-1634). Festivities begin Sunday with a family-friendly jazz brunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and music by Micah Herman & Friends with the Funky Monkey. On Fat Tuesday, the bar opens at 9 a.m. for beignets, coffee and cocktails. Blues band John Paul’s Flying Circus plays at 6 p.m.
