Parents of 4-month-old whose fingers were chewed off by a ferret accused of child endangerment

The parents of a 4-month-old child whose fingers were chewed off by a ferret have been charged with first-degree endangering the welfare of a child. According to court records, Ryan and Carrie Waldo had attempted to give away the ferret four days before the January 10 incident in which the child lost seven fingers.

Why did they want to give it way? Because the ferret had already bitten the child twice before. Even so, the Waldos decided to keep the ferret.
