Out of Time & Space Astrology
The Evolutionary Police (TEP): How are we of Intelligent Design or not? Read Scorpio’s message first.
Cancer/Cancer Rising* (Jun 21-July 21): If Momma believe it, then it’s good enough for you. Until you discover your propensity to bottom feed. If male, well, that can mean apple bottom jeans to being a well behaved one for a dastardly daddy, giving you all the loving you missed at home. And, for your lunar women, momma can be packing some juice for you too. The Evolutionary Police (TEP) demand you move beyond familiar games to get down to the real love…knowing you’ve got to play the parent every once and awhile (and you cannot wait until you only look like you can be cast for the role). As a water sign you cannot get bogged down in only matters of the flesh … it’s so, so unfulfilling. TEP declares now until August 3 investigation time. Go on a reporter’s quest. Observe whether you’ve grown and are continuing to live life on your own terms or have left your next evolutionary steps to unhappy and religious zealots who lives are not worth examining, yet. The TEP must allow the opportunity for growth, even when we do not expect to witness (pun intended, Jehovah) it in our lifetime.
Leo/Leo Rising* (July 22-Aug 22): Fire and ice. Fire atop an ice skating rink, that is, frozen water with spiritual substance. In a very real sense, you can be tundra like to those with whom you have little to no acquaintance. Those with whom you know, passionate (and vocal) loyalty. Of course, you have an Intelligent Design spirit. As grand and intricate as you are, it is hard for you to imagine that someone did take a personal hand in your creation. The Evolutionary Police (TEP) happen to barge in when we do not agree with your proclamations. Some would call it raw narcissism, on your part. “God made man in his own image”. Don’t we only need a pool of water in which to gaze? TEP would encourage any healthy adult to get it on with any other healthy adult. At the end, who’s really judging? Each of our equally grand and intricate selves behaves as judge, jury or executioner.
Virgo/Virgo Rising* (Aug 22-Sept 22): In order to get the privilege to pay penance, you must sin. To sin you must believe there’s a standard dictated by some usually higher being or beings. Something to think about TEP work to get you out of too complicated relationship with those who overly promote off-planet deities, making you feel badly about your body, especially the physical body. So, you washboard your abs and diet incessantly all under to mistaken belief that you must be a perfect servant to those ideals. Get away from the criticism, unless you use it to evolve at your own pace. Through accepting yourself as you are, no law enforcement (no matter how lofty) can control your mind and spirit. And, acceptance leads to love. Love triumphs over sin and fear each time.
Libra/Libra Rising* (Sep 23-Oct 22): I’d bet Libra started the Gallup Poll. If not the Gallup, then your equality-minded soul began the concept of polling. After all, what is an intimate relationship but much data mining between two parties? How else do you get to know someone if you’re not questioning and evaluating each other? One scale has been packed with a parent’s and their ideology balanced with what you know your evolutionary needs are. The Evolutionary Police (TEP) has your best interest at heart much like a parent would as divorce looms large. Until you silence the voices of a monolithic Creator and all his masculine press, you play the role of child to the TEP. As you mature, you work with the TEP, getting us to process differently and to evolve together. So, you poll to see how much we’ve grown (or not).
Scorpio/Scorpio Rising* (Oct 23-Nov 21): Writer’s note: This is a concept column. Planets compel, they do not impel. As do concepts and ideas. I’ve de-sentimentalized myself, as does any professional playing a role. Doctors, lawyers, and in the spirit of this week’s column, policemen. As the progenitor of The Evolutionary Police, it is in your best interest that I’ve done so. Whether you are a 21st century Christian mimicking a 1st century Jewish religious leader is not the point (you shouldn’t be reading this anyway) or are a free thinking person on a mission to live a better life. The point is how you treat growth from the vantage point of your soul. It cannot be all about you from the soul’s perspective; it has to be all about us (if challenged then use the royal “we”). Practicing what you preach is an admirable mantra whenever, yet, now it is to be written on your forehead. You cannot (and must not) monitor our spiritual evolution when you’ve neglected your own. If you want to market Intelligent Design, check your natal chart for major planetary placements in Sagittarius or Aries first.
Sagittarius/Sagittarius Rising* (Nov 22-Dec 19): Maybe I take myself too seriously, why not just tell you that Jupiter (expansion) moves through Taurus (realism), your 6th house of health, work and daily routine? Because most astrological writers already do. This week I’ve chosen to introduce you to a concept I call The Evolutionary Police. TEP can sometimes mate with TED (Technology/Education/Design) and make beautiful babies. Like who would argue against clean water? Or healthy food for everyone? When we join the goodwill of our communities with taking care of the least of ours, we all evolve. Oh, dang, it has not happened all around the world, yet. This type of meandering idealism fuels your soaring spirit which fuels your imagination. There is a fundamental strain to your sign, but that happens when there is little exposure to the world beyond your neighborhood. One of your best roles would be Spokesperson for TEP, extolling the virtues of shared growth. Gives you more to teach and to pontificate. Intelligent Design, well, you’d have to have been there, and witnessed it, no?
Capricorn/Capricorn Rising* (Dec 21-Jan 19): Rule follower par excellence, you’re likely to head up one of the board positions of The Evolutionary Police (TEP). A judge who takes TEP’s perspective very seriously. Your totem animal, the mountain goat, lends his strength to discipline your more baser urges, methodically. You can possess an unerring sense of true conservation. Sometimes your insights take on a dismissive ‘let them eat cake’ or “pulling oneself up by one’s bootstraps” mentality. It only becomes offensive when you ignore our personal stories, that is, you do not listen. Even in America our exceptional evolution is encapsulated by our “American Dream”. To those who hover below or around the poverty line, this “dream” seem like a runaway slave near the Mason-Dixon line going south instead of north. To evolve and to be a monitor of evolution demands a pulling each other up through our roots, our innate connectedness.
Imagine that Horatio Alger (dream weaver himself) was a Capricorn, go figure.
Aquarius/Aquarius Rising*(Jan 20-Feb 19): You get really, I mean, really surprised when your futuristic vision(s) are not heard. The role you’d play in The Evolutionary Police (TEP) would be Community Organizer. One part Henny Penny, one part Florence Nightingale and one part Abraham Lincoln, you are an amalgamation of wisdom, folly and fun. You identify with the people, but not people who often come into a battle of the wits unarmed. Unless you are a Smarmy Aquarian with suspicious con artist (sociopath) skills (Hello, Mrs. Palin, Glenn Beck and Ms. Bachmann’s Aquarius Moon/Instincts), you rarely, if ever, suffer fools gladly … and, then it is to shore up your bank account or mental deficiencies (can you say Political Action Committees?). However, you aspire to be TEP’s town crier, alerting us to upcoming catastrophes. Just remember, though, soldiers and organizers can still party with the best of them. In other words, know when to lighten up and open your heart. We all cannot detach early conditioning and then evolve at the same pace as you can, hence, the suggested heart opening. True evolution must involve and integrate both heart and mind.
Pisces/Pisces Rising (Feb 18-Mar 20): Manifest Destiny and the Unknown hover on the edge of your mind, always. “There’s no such thing as coincidences” tells a tale of the soul consistently on the lookout for signs, portents and omens. You go, you. The Evolutionary Police (TEP) steps in as your “there’s a reason for everything”. Once you realize through keeping your beliefs flexible and open to the scrutiny of constant reinterpretation, you radiate an attracting wisdom that belies age or personal experience. Hopefully, you teach TEP to be mystical and slightly out of the left-brained mind. Remind us of the potency of what we learned through fairy tales and the magic of pretense in childhood. Yes, there were wolves and bears and wicked witches, but the mirror oft reflected what we thought only we could see. Present planetary chatter strongly suggests a conscious reflection on the connection between good and evil, not only the categorization and separation of them. A morality play is brewing your life, it is not a black or white thang, it is the evolution found through the many shades in between.
Aries/Aries Rising* (Mar 21-Apr 19): The Evolutionary Police (TEP) gives spiritual tickets for those of us who do NOT take risks, specifically risks that center around an authentic expression of our true selves. This is one very good reason you are a chosen child of TEP. From your heart’s breath while in the womb, you realize as an Aries folk: Any expression not from true self is a wasted expression! And, with root chakra (place where stop the urine flow) chiming in as your guardian energy center, you live to the bottom of things (often as a top!) Speaking of tops, TEP knows that its energies can be, shall I say, overbearing at times. That’s what you have to realize (like your sibling sign of Aquarius), we evolve at our own pace. Frankly, I don’t care about your foot inserted in your mouth telling me to get off my buttocks, but I do care about your propensity to generalize and seek the quick answer. Add a little depth and patience to your expression, and watch this Ambassador from TEP follow you almost anywhere! (Twitter notwithstanding.)
Taurus/Taurus Rising* (Apr 20-May 21): When secure and self-satisfied, you exhibit an accepting attitude that rivals any Aquarian on their best and lofty day. So, The Evolutionary Police (TEP) has little to no influence on your day-to-day or internal world. BUT, that is when you are inwardly confident, not paper tiger like so. Yours is a fixed earth sign which translates into wanting to have physical control over others, body language, monetarily and yes, even our health. You’ll teach and cajole and maneuver our hearts and minds to your side, persuasive (and linear) as you are. However, at present you are best as an Envoy of Ambassadorial Goodwill. Envoys are messengers of diplomats. You will not get shot (maybe bought a shot at your favorite watering hole), messenger. Shots are more likely to occur if you only talk about your own evolution and can recognize our evolution as it parrots your own. Not good. Bad. A major part of TEP is recognizing how we are all unique, but have the same impetus to evolve from our soul’s center.
Gemini/Gemini Rising* (May 21-Jun 20): You and The Evolutionary Police (TEP) have caught in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G. OK, it’s juvenile, but you’re the one who has chosen to be born in the sign that can refuse to grow up or in. Eternal child, that’s you…no limitations, no judgments, only free thought demanding free spirited action. Therefore, TEP and you have a tenuous relationship. Although upon better reflection, you are the communicative catalyst to making our outlandish relationships move into routinely and normal. (At one time, the telephone was innovative talk “from afar”.) Check your psychic mirrors, clear the smoke. Watch out for yields signs and TEP will protect and serve the best you. Twins take each other’s place, play practical jokes and hopefully possess amazing telepathy. Your twin now is TEP. Left to your own devices, you can degenerate into a confused mess following every stray impulse like a smart phone addict. Blackberry are not made by Research In Motion for nothing. TEP needs your active mind to ask the questions to aid us in better understanding our motives. To not know (or care) why you perform some action keeps you in a juvenile state of being, present but unconnected.
