Out of Time & Space Astrology

Virgo/Virgo Rising* (Aug 22-Sept 22): You possess some of the best karma when it comes to turning friends into family. It is not everyone who can do this; not everyone wants to, either. Some are blessed with healthy and functional families. Of course, you thrive when we appreciate all the little ways you make our lives better. The first part of this month, you will easily see too much of family in those close friends, but you can handle how much is coming from the present conflict as compared to the past. Too much intensity directed at these close mates means you’ve confused them with someone who hurt you at your most vulnerable. Keep the two individuals and situations separate, otherwise you’ll overreact. Why clean up an emotional hot mess that you can clearly avoid? Best relationships show themselves over time spent well together.
Libra/Libra Rising* (Sep 23-Oct 22): Time takes it toll. Psychic Health Inspector, Saturn, acts as major gatekeeper in your sign. “Can’t get away with nothing.” “If I didn’t have bad luck, I’d have none at all.” “Life is a bitch, then you die.” These statements rolling around in your head net you nothing. No slippery behaviors allowed; all bucks stop with you. Just keep smiling. The more it hurts, the less you need to show it. You must recognize time passing, but not get overly attached to its effects. Crow’s feet and sagging parts are not the end of the world. Take a page from Deepak Chopra who talks about psychological age. Your psychological age is how old you feel. As with most things psyche- or soul-driven, they are subjective. None of the rampant cynicism reflects your true nature, ever.
Scorpio/Scorpio Rising* (Oct 23-Nov 21): Just take yourself away! Get out, of your own way! Admit one more weakness to yourself, yet no brooding about why it has not improved. You have more to offer. It is not the desire to be more; it is accepting what you already possess. It is not whom you chose; it is why you chose. Sensing a willingness to understand you is a good place to begin. Once you’re out of your own way, you start to emanate this solid acceptance of the dark areas of human nature. That’s one reason we tell you our secrets. You hear where we are blocked. Sometimes you answer the question that is underneath the actual question. The more you trust that knowing instinct for what we be hiding, the more you have to give. The trick is knowing when not to give, lest we become too dependent upon your healing projections.
Sagittarius/Sagittarius Rising* (Nov 22-Dec 19): You are ready to cover new ground in your career, professional reputation and status in your chosen community. Your vision is redefining itself. Your simple sight gets thwarted when you constantly look for the cavalry to save you with very little effort on your part. It is called entitlement. You do not want to bring this privileged feeling anywhere near an authority figure, boss or parent. Your second sight protects you. Second sight, clairvoyance and the “I See” statement for Sagittarius are basically the same concept … you got skills of the visionary variety. Make like a medieval alchemist and create that perfect elixir for cleansing your financial and physical realities.
Capricorn/Capricorn Rising* (Dec 21-Jan 19): You are learning when to guard yourself from showing you have excessive pain. It is kind of a ‘never let them see you sweat’ motivation. Stoic is as stoic does. I’m not suggesting you martyr yourself because that would mean you believed that you had no control, playing the victim. That’s false. You’re more of the masochist, seeing the meaning (and possibly pleasure) from the pain. There are those in your life who want to inflict pain onto you for no other reason than you threaten them. You know the dismissive but stern looks. Your need to control yourself is stronger than ever, and that includes the expressions on your face. I would say, ‘Lighten up’, but you’d ask why, then brood on ‘how light’? So, I will leave you with giving nothing away, make like you’re playing Texas Hold ’em, no tells, none at all.

Aquarius/Aquarius Rising*(Jan 20-Feb 19): It would look as if you know all the answers, particularly those of a sociological variety. You can illuminate those darker areas in our psyches. But now it is a “Doctor, heal thyself” season. At some point, you will have to acknowledge the frustration you experience through complacent co-workers and how you monitor the work of the team. In addition, realize that your de facto supervision heightens your empathy toward those you see daily, grinding the same stones. The more you connect, the more likely you’ll develop small aches, pains and discomforts. In a real way, you take on another’s disease. Most of it is in your head, but how much of your suffering starts in the mind? Correct and discriminate, you are not to consistently take the broad stroke and seek out everyone’s vulnerabilities; you are to ascertain which one or two are in need of your deep loyalty. Not everyone deserves your support or protection.
Pisces/Pisces Rising (Feb 18-Mar 20): Born to learn the difference between being impressionable and compassionate versus isolating and judgmental, summer’s end can make you err on the side of xenophobia. It is the confidence that you have in the inexplicable that makes you radiate. Those ‘you never know’ moments, as you gaze toward the heavens can instill a sense of wonder in even the most cynical heart. Your strength lies in your untutored ability to entertain the impossible and speak up the improbable. Your trick lies in being able to choose mates and close peers who do not rain on your imaginary parades; simply, they enjoy you.
Aries/Aries Rising* (Mar 21-Apr 19): You have much to prove to yourself. With the phrase ‘I am’, you move through the world seeing yourself, being yourself. With a number of planets in the magnetic and inwardly drawing water and earth signs, you can feel as if you are off your game. You are not. The game is how you feel about the game, the role you play compared to the role you have allowed assigned to you. Take a deep breath. Feel the road not taken or the assumptions made by others regarding what you would do with your life. Now, release any anger or frustration. Use your initiating ass to get fired up. Get going on to showing up ready to rock and roll in the role you’ve chosen despite what anyone thinks. Realize you do not tend to have the patience to play someone else’s game with rules you didn’t have a strong hand in creating.
Taurus/Taurus Rising* (Apr 20-May 21): Joy to be alive, that’s one virtue for you to possess. A basic self-acceptance no matter what others may say. Your mind can trump your heart, however, at present the planets align to bring you more joy. It has to be found with gratitude, and sometimes it is paired with grief. Grief gives you the relativity of all things; seeing and experiencing loss should help you see what you have to be thankful for. It is truly good to see you with healthy self-esteem shown at no one’s expense. These last days of summer were made for you to kick off your heels, let your hair down, go for new experiences (the ones you’ve thought about, quizzed others about, but have not done). Think that for you, vicarious living is not really living.

Gemini/Gemini Rising* (May 21-Jun 20): Your mind has been traveling faster than the speed of light, as it were. You can be stuck in the past in one moment, full of recriminations, only to be launched to the future full of doubt as to whether you want to be there. How about staying present? Sure, parents, siblings, cousins and neighbors influence the person you’ve become today, but you are more than what you think and what these others think of you. You are ready to tell your truth as you see it. Do not plan what you are going to say, just say it. We will catch up, if you do not leave once you’ve responded accurately to the present potential conflicts. Remember, Gemini is here to learn how to communicate what’s going on inside. It does not mean you have mastered this lesson.
Cancer/Cancer Rising* (Jun 21-July 21): What makes a home, a home? It’s not the chair that’s sitting there, as the old pop tune goes. The memories made between the people who live together through balanced interdependency. You are to make like a turtle. See your home wherever you go. You have the capacity to connect anytime and with anyone you please. If this is not possible, then imagine your ‘inner room’, a sanctuary you possess inside your mind and heart. You will need answers to some of your burning questions re: keeping your house being a home. It has much to do with that hackneyed phrase ‘go with the flow’. This weekend is tailor-made for internal redecoration.
Leo/Leo Rising* (July 22-Aug 22): You must participate in the creation of your own life. You cannot be a passive observer. You may rest, but have to sense when it is time to be active. After spending nine weeks in your sign, Mercury (thought, communication, perception) moves into next-door neighbor Virgo. Time to place your mind on the tangible side of life. Efficiency, efficiency, efficiency, similar to location, location, location in the restaurant business, that’s your metaphysical message for the week. Knowing your body inside out, knowing what it needs to participate in the life you’ve been dreaming of since the winter of 2010. Know not of what I speak? Read your other next-door neighbor sign’s message. (Cancer helps you with the past. Virgo aids your future.) Get your ‘inner room’ in order.
*The Rising Sign a.k.a. Ascendant represents your approach to life and the mask you wear. Read that sign as well to get additional information on what’s in store this week.
