Our five favorite pork tenderloin sandwiches in Kansas City

The pork tenderloin sandwich is the unofficial state sandwich of my

birth state, Indiana, but it has plenty of fans in Missouri. (I’m

not sure if the Show-Me-State has an official state sandwich, but it should

be burnt ends.)

Nine years ago, the best pork tenderloin sandwich in the area could be found at a saloon called the Bottoms Up Lounge (and, no, it only sounded like a gay bar) in St. Joseph. This tenderloin was so damn big, it even got national media attention. But the bar closed, and sadly, the hand-pounded tenderloins went away, too. So which local joints now serve the best pork tenderloins?
