Octarium vocal octet’s ‘Explaining an Arts NonProfit’ video goes viral

Life ain’t easy for non-profits. It’s not always easy explaining how they work. But Octarium, Kansas City’s own vocal octet, has figured out a clever way to do it with a YouTube explainer video called “Explaining an Arts NonProfit” that’s gone viral and been viewed by more than 24,000. And that’s in just one weekend.
The YouTube description reads: “This is sometimes how the conversation goes … Octarium has many loyal supporters and this video does not represent any
person in particular, but is, rather, a tongue-firmly-in-cheek amalgam
of some of the more frustrating conversations I’ve had seeking donors.” See the full video after the jump to see why a small arts ensemble could use your help — unlike Kanye West and that Bieber kid.
