Now they’re banning crack bath salts. Yes, you read that right.

This fall, the suicide of St. Joseph man Jarrod Moody was linked to his use of “bath salts” that mimic the effects of methamphetamines on the brain. Moody’s death was just the latest in a series of bodies linked to the products, including at least one case in which the chemical reaction is suspected to have put an English woman in a coma.

Now authorities around the country are rushing to ban the salts, which are sold under names such as Ivory Wave, Bliss, and Hurricane Charlie.
