Author Edmund White discusses his memories of New York City in the 1960s — and the City Boy, the memoir that came out of those days — at the Central Branch of the Kansas City Public Library at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday
IHOP locations nationwide are offering a free stack of buttermilk pancakes, starting at 7 a.m., in celebration of National Pancake Day. Bonus: Miss Kansas Becki Ronen will be on hand at the Independence IHOP at 20100 East Valley View Circle.

Wednesday
WearHaus and Jeff Evrard Photography have teamed up to create Faction, a local fashion magazine without any ads. Pick up a copy during a launch party from 6-9 p.m. at Crosstown Station.

The Kansas City Ballet presents its production of Lambarena at 7:30 p.m. at the Lyric Theatre.
