In between building beats for Lawrence’s Archetype and slinging sandwiches for Yello Sub, Jeremy “Nezbeat” Nesbitt managed to find enough spare time over the past 3 years to create a collaborative album with an exciting cross section of local talent. We haven’t heard From the Huge Silence yet, but judging from Nezbeat’s previous work and the artists with whom he’s chosen to partner for this project — including sharp-tongued Mac Lethal, smooth-flowing Approach, lightning-quick cutter DJ Sku and the droning Capsules — it’s bound to be an adventurous recording. To confirm our suspicions, we’ll have to hustle to the Bottleneck Friday night to catch the first and only live presentation of Silence, complete with cameos by the album’s many collaborators. Isaac “ID” Diehl, Nezbeat’s Archetype teammate and MC, also has a new album, Karma Suture. The one-night-only show is all-ages, with the door priced at $5 ($7 for under-21).
