You know why The Pitch hasn’t been overrun by bears? Because we have a magic feather that keeps bears away. If you’d like to know where we got the idea for a magic feather, head to the Spirit Body and Soul Fair. The two-day new-age festival features vendors, psychic readings, healing stones, tarot cards, lessons in alternative healing, and lectures on all sorts of things that’ll blow your mind. Should you doubt the power, just look at all the bears that have overrun the rest of downtown while leaving us relatively unscathed. The festival runs noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Best Western Inn at 501 Southwest Boulevard in Kansas City, Kansas. Admission is $8 daily; see spiritfair.com for details.
