New KCMO Superintendent John Covington has no patience for ‘foolishness’

If you read The Kansas City Star‘s profile of future-former superintendent John Covington with an open mind — and it’s admittedly hard with the Kansas City, Missouri, School District — there’s a lot to be excited about, especially this quote from Covington:

“I don’t have time for foolishness.”

Uh, Mr. Covington, you do know where you’re working, right? But damn it all. Welcome to the Kansas City, Missouri, School District. With talk like that — and action that backs it up — you might just win over the cynics.
