New Hope Baptist Church searched in homicide investigation of Randy E. Stone

The Independence police executed a search warrant Wednesday at the New Hope Baptist Church on East Lexington Road as part of the homicide investigation of Randy E. Stone.

Independence police say the warrant was issued as part of the ongoing investigation of Stone’s death, and persons of interest are being questioned by police. 

Stone, 42,  was discovered at his

Farmer’s Insurance office, 13912 East Noland Court, on March

31.

Stone’s obituary says, “He was an active and faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church.” According to a KSHB Channel 41 story, “Stone was active in church ministry, traveling on mission trips and driving a bus on Sundays to pick-up students for Sunday school.”
