New Ghosty Song

You won’t hear this sweet track anywhere else, folks. Leaked to the Pitch against the will of OxBlood Records CEOs Robert “the Bludgeoner” Moore and Megan “Deathlock” Hamilton, this new Ghosty song is making our Monday a full 11% less awful. At least until the record label’s assassins arrive.

No, seriously, Moore shared it with us voluntarily, and we’re sharing it with you. Do enjoy. It seems like since he moved to Kansas City from Lawrence last year, lead singer and songwriter Andrew Connor has really stepped up his songcraft. And his band, too. Sheesh, on top of recording songs like this one, these guys have done two tribute shows — they played all Big Star covers at the Record Bar in March, and just last Friday, they did an all-Zombies show at the Taproom. 15 songs, including this one. Holy shit.

So bear that in mind while digesting the chamber-music-like guitar-keyboard interplay, furniture-jostling bass and rich vocal harmonies of “Dumbo Wins Again.” The new Ghosty album is due October 1 on OxBlood.
