New doo-wop by Dean Monkey and the Dropouts; show tonight at the Jazzhaus

Doo-wop was the dub-step of the ’50s, and girl, Dean Monkey wants to tell you slowly and sincerely, with a walking bass line and soaring harmonies in the background. The Lawrencians have done their research.

Tonight at 10:30, they’ll play the Jazzhaus with Aotearoa, probably not dressed as Juggalos. Below, stream “I Am So Lonely” off their debut EP, coming November 25.
