The Ad Astra Per Aspera wire sent out the following crackle this morning:

We wanted to let you know that much has been happening in the world of Ad

Astra Per Aspera.

We have a new site up at adastraperaspera.com and two new songs (“Danger Bird Blues” and “Rrrip It Up”) up at myspace.com/adastraperaspera.

Those songs will be on the first of a series of 7″s that Love Garden Records will be releasing, starting in May. Each record will come with free downloads of the songs. The second 7″ will be out in July. A re-release of “Catapult Calypso” on vinyl is also in the works and should be out by August.

We’re also in the midst of planning some shows, including an East Coast tour. We’ll have dates and info on our myspace page. If we should play where you live, let us know.

Your Friend,

Ad Astra Per Aspera

Blog Editor’s Reply: Yes, please! Ad Astra, come over to my house right now and play “Danger Bird Blues” and “Rrrip It Up” because they rock, plus whatever else you wanna play. I will make lemon bars. Afterwards, we’ll talk about how you’re channeling Sonic Youth and the Feelies and Stone Roses all at once while doing something merrily your own. Then we’ll have an orgy.

Your Friend,

Jason Harper
