Nashville’s Grace Pettis to perform on a houseboat this Sunday
The headline should really explain why this show is important, but yes: Nashville singer-songwriter Grace Pettis set to release her sophomore album Down To The Letter this Friday, June 14 via MPress Records, going on tour in support of the record. However, her Kansas City show is likely to be the most unique one on said tour, as the show will be the debut Riverhome Concert from show promoters EBLounge. Pettis will perform on a houseboat while the crowd lounges on a big greenspace by the river in Edwardsville, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets.
Pettis’ new album chronicles “the end of a long term relationship with heartbreaking detail,” but is powerful and stalwart, so if you’re looking to vibe, dance, and shake off some past unpleasantness while you kick off your summer, this show is sure to be one about which you’ll tell all your friends.
The show’s a pay-what-you-can event, and all of the details can be found here. If you RSVP, you get a free BBQ sandwich or hot dog from the grill, too. Jack Summers is set to open the show.
