Music Stars New and Old Take Center Stage at Sprint Center This Week

Kansas City’s Sprint Center is one of the premier arenas in the country and will be very busy with talented sports and music performers throughout March. Fresh off hosting the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament, there are a few major musical performances coming up. Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band are currently on tour to support their new album Ride Out, which landed in stores in October of 2014. Ride Out is Seger’s first album since 2006’s Face The Promise. With a career spanning five decades, Seger continues to perform around the country. Seger was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012.

The highest average ticket price for the week at the Sprint Center is when Maroon 5 hits the stage for The Maroon 5 World Tour 2015. Their fifth album, V, was released in 2014 and is the focus of the tour. The tour began on February 16th, 2015, in Dallas and will span over five continents. Canadian band MAGIC! will open several shows in North America and Europe, and Rozzi Crane, who was featured on Maroon 5’s “Come Away To The Water”.

Charlie Wilson, Joe and Kem kicked off of ‘The Forever Charlie Tour” in early February and will be closing up shop in the end of March. The tour gained its name from what will be Wilson’s seventh solo studio album of the same name, “Forever Charlie.” The “If It’s Love” singer Kem, and the “Rather Have Love” singer Joe (Thomas), will both add their own personal element to the show that fans are sure to enjoy.
