Info Gates, Ces Cru, Heartfelt Anarchy, JL B. Hood, Joey Cool

RecordBar hosts its final hip-hop show Sunday before the venue closes for good — or, at least, until its owners find a new location. Rapper Justin Gillespie, who performs as Info Gates, welcomes to the stage local favorites Ces Cru, Heartfelt Anarchy (rapper Les Izmore and producer D/Will) and rapper Joey Cool. Gillespie performs a special set with JL B. Hood, as the duo Breaking Bad News. This is a night of local hip-hop that you don’t want to miss.

Sunday, December 27, RecordBar (1020 Westport Road, 816-753-5207)

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

It’s not the holidays without Trans-Siberian Orchestra. This year, the grandiose group performs a smattering of Christmas classics from The Ghosts of Christmas Eve. And even the most Scrooge-like among us are not immune to the charm and cheer of TSO’s joyous renditions of “O’ Come All Ye Faithful” and “This Christmas Day.” The Saturday after Christmas, you have two opportunities to extend the spirit of the season with a matinee show and an evening performance.

Steddy P, Dom Chronicles, J-Izzie, Second Hand King, Scotty Wu

Ray Pierce Jr., known as rapper Steddy P and the founder of local hip-hop label Indyground Entertainment, has had a great year. In August, he revived Indy Fest, Indyground’s annual music blowout, after a three-year hiatus. In November, he released Picture Perfect Broken Home, his first album in two years. Pierce closes his year Saturday with a host of talented friends, including Indyground signee Dom Chronicles, Second Hand King, Scotty Wu and J-Izzie.

David Hasselhoff on Acid, At the Left Hand of God, Janet the Planet, Jorge Arana Trio, Odd Fox

It’s going to be a heavy Saturday at the Riot Room when David Hasselhoff on Acid plays its final show of 2015, which band leader Phil Wolf says is its last before the band goes on an indefinite hiatus. Drummer Brandon Bamesberger is moving to Los Angeles, and rather than replace him, DHOA has decided to hang up the prog-rock cape — except for those occasions when Bamesberger is back in town. Metal group At the Left Hand of God, fellow prog-rock champions the Jorge Arana Trio, Janet the Planet and Odd Fox are on deck to help with the final send-off.

Saturday, December 26, the Riot Room (4048 Broadway, 816-442-8179)
