Mouthbreathers’ Zach Campbell on how they plan to spend their summer vacation

Lawrence’s garage-punkers Mouthbreathers have been receiving scads of press for their Bandcamp demo. Impose Magazine and Washington City Paper called “Anxiety” a “no bullshit bruiser” and “a fuzz-filled jam,” respectively. They’ve opened for nearly every garage show to come through in the past few months — the Reigning Sound and the Fresh and Onlys, to name a couple — and recently signed with a label to make their first official release (having already self-released a six-song cassette demo). They’ve playing tonight at the Jackpot in Lawrence with the Vivian Girls and No Joy. Drummer Zach Campbell (frontman of Lawrence’s other garage phenom, Rooftop Vigilantes), spoke with us via e-mail about the band’s future plans.
