Sturgill Simpson is coming to the Midland in November; Chris Isaak stops in July
They’re coming in hot this morning. Two more Midland concerts have been announced, including Sturgill Simpson and Chris Isaak (it would be weird/interesting, but they are not appearing together).
Sturgill Simpson is one of the hottest names in country music right now, because of his authentic and crossover appeal. He will be appearing at the Midland on Tuesday, November 1, in support of his new album, A Sailor’s Guide to Earth. He appeared at Knuckleheads in December of 2014 and again last summer at Crossroads KC. The term “country music” may mean a lot of things anymore, but for those who associate country with Waylon, Willie, and Johnny, Simpson will also be your guy.
Isaak, a relentless and quality touring act, is also performing at the Midland on Wednesday, July 20. He’s also out in support of a new album, First Comes the Night.
Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday.
