MoDOT gives traffic cameras the green light on state roads

Are you ready for your closeup? It appears that the Nanny State has struck the decisive blow in the long war between potentially life-saving but intrusive technology and civil liberties.

The Missouri Department of Transportation has ended a moratorium on cameras on state-administered roads and issued guidelines for municipalities that want to put red-light and speeding cameras on those streets. Previously the cameras were allowed on streets managed by the cities.
