Mizzou football coach Gary Pinkel’s DWI arrest captured by dash-cam video

The dash-cam video of Mizzou football coach Gary Pinkel’s DWI arrest was bound to come out. In the video, Pinkel tells the officer that he’s “very nervous.” He’s not the only one. The Boone County Sheriff’s deputy seems a bit nervy too.

Pinkel tells the deputy that he had a a couple of “jumbo” glasses of red wine over the course of an hour and a half. Pinkel takes a couple of tests after the deputy asks him his level of education, which Pinkel says he has a Master’s degree.

Pinkel fails to recite the alphabet from the letter to “E” to the letter “R.” In fact, he says “E-F-G-H-R.” On a second try, Pinkel says, “A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-R.” Pinkel asks if he passed the test. The officer responds, “Well, there are other letters between ‘H’ and ‘R.'”
