Missouri’s sex offender compliance improves; still more than 80 absconders out there

Missouri auditor Susan Montee announced yesterday that the Show-Me State’s sex offender registry is looking pretty damn good these days with more compliant offenders, especially compared to 2002. Yay!

Not that there isn’t bad news. The feds say Missouri isn’t compliant with federal law — guess the state’s reporting requirements aren’t as strict as the feds’ (so says bad news bringer, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch). D’oh!
