The Missouri Film Office is accepting submissions for their 2021 Missouri Stories Scriptwriting Fellowship, an international competition for screenplays and television pilot scripts with storylines set in the great state of Missouruh.

Early submissions are due Nov. 7, regular submissions by Nov. 20, and late submissions through Nov. 26. Three winning entries will be chosen by Jan. 20, 2021, and those writers will go on to earn an all-expense paid trip to a “concentrated fellowship experience,” to be held in Missouri in Feb. 2022.

The trio of winning scripts will be selected by an independent committee of industry reading judges, who will score and determine each submission on a ten-point scale based on the following categories:  Presentation/Format; Premise/Concept; Structure/Plot/Pacing; Characters/Dialogue; Theme/Style/Tone; and Missouri Relevance.

The fellowship will bring aboard several notable industry mentors, and will include trips to areas of the state where the winning writers’ scripts take place.

Submissions must be entered through Coverfly.com (with a $45 entry fee) in a single document PDF format that should also include one-page synopsis and one-page writer bio.
