Weston’s Snow Creek (located on Highway 45, north of Kansas City), where winter recreationists ski or snowboard 12 different trails, offers special holiday hours this week. More seasoned winter athletes can hit Rattlesnake Terrain Park, with jumps, bumps, rails and pipes for “experts only,” according to the Web site — including a 300-foot vertical drop. For the uncoordinated (or the uncoordinated with kids) there’s Tornado Alley, a 700-foot-long snow-tube slope that offers a conveyor carpet called the Twister for rides back up. And snow bunnies can set up shop in the 10,000-square-foot ski lodge. Head upstairs to find the Last Run bar. The park’s extended hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. are in effect today through Wednesday.
