Missouri is not a viking when it comes to sleep

  • Missourians are not resting easy these days.

Feel like you’ve been having trouble sleeping lately? If you live in Missouri, you’re not alone. Live Science writes that a new study conducted by researchers at the University of Pennsylvania showed we’re taking our problems to the pillow with us.

The study involved 33 states, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Of the 36 areas, Missouri had the sixth-highest incident rate of sleep disturbances and was the seventh sleepiest state. That means 21.3 percent of Missourians are sleep-deprived because they had trouble sleeping six out of 14 nights, and 25.2 percent of us are suffering from “daytime fatigue,” otherwise known as falling asleep at your desk.

What’s keeping you up at night?
